What is Parabolic Content?
Run by Co-Presidents Rick Sasson and Seth Sherman, Parabolic is part of 3BMG and produces series and specials in a variety of unscripted and non-fiction genres, with a heavy focus on action-adventure and mystery programming.
Recent Parabolic hits include Travel Channel’s The Ghost Town Terror, Alien Highway, and Discovery’s Guardians of the Glades, with additional projects currently in development with myriad networks and platforms, including Netflix, HGTV, National Geographic, A&E, HISTORY, and others.
Parabolic creates premium unscripted content for broadcast and cable networks, as well as streaming platforms.
Prior to launching Parabolic, Seth Sherman was vice president of development at 3 Ball Productions (then named 3 Ball Entertainment – Paramount Network’s Bar Rescue, Animal Planet’s My Cat From Hell). His previous credits include CBS’s Undercover Boss, ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, TBS’s Funniest Wins with Marlon Wayans, TLC’s Little People, Big World and Spike’s Catch a Contractor with Adam Carolla.
Rick Sasson previously served as senior vice president of development at Studio Lambert USA, where he shepherded and executive produced a range of series and specials including E!’s Second Wives Club. Prior to Studio Lambert, he was vice president of programming at Gurney Productions, overseeing mega-hit Duck Dynasty for A&E and Fat ‘N Furious for Discovery, among others. Sasson also spent five years as a producer for VH1, where he earned an Emmy Award for directing DMC: My Adoption Journey.
